Prunus or Flowering Cherry can be deciduous or evergreen trees or shrubs with showy flowers in spring, and often good autumn foliage colour. Some have edible fruit in autumn, and a few species have ornamental bark. Prunus requires a nice sunny position and thrive best in moist well drained soil. Prunus Subhirtella autumnalis rosea is a deciduous tree which bears semi double blushed pink flowers from November to March. Height can reach to 20ft.
