Catalpa Bungei are perfect for a small garden or terrace, thanks to its slow growing nature. It has large heart-shaped leaves. In summer it blooms, with purple pink fragrant flowers. They will then give way to long hanging green pods. Trimmed into a ball, the blooming will be more discreet.Finally, its grey-brown bark, which splits on the older wood, gives a decorative touch to this Catalpa even in winter. Plant in full sun or semi shade in well drained soil
