Prunus lusitanica Angustifolia - Portuguese Laurel are fantastic laurels that are a great alternative to the classic cherry Laurel. They are more formal in appearance with their dark green, medium sized pointed foliage set against red stems. They are slower growing, you would get 1/2ft of growth a year. A lot tougher than the cherry laurel and can withstand exposed sites, perfect for the North of the country.

“From first contact right through to delivery, it was clear that this was a very well run service. The cost of the Plants may seem to be a slight premium to others advertised, but they had stock available, the plants themselves are of tremendous quality and consistency and the service has been excellent. All my questions were answered timely and all communication was good and clear. The delivery driver was an absolute star too, I can only praise the service and products I have received. I feel that it has been very good value for money. Thank you.”

“Three of the four plants were great, however the last arrived with a small broken section of the centre stem at the top. I believe this happened when it was unloaded from the van as the plants were taller than the roller door and all bent as they were pulled under the top. Sadly we didn't notice this to report during delivery as we kept our distance due to COVID and with such tall bushy plants it wasn't obvious. We only noticed when we went to move them for planting.”

“Very sparse trees. Planted 2 per metre as advised for instant hedge and they are completely see through, needed twice as many trees. Each tree is very see through Leaves near the trunk are yellow and dropping off and several have broken branches. Didn't want to give 2 stars and describe as poor but 3 stars = acceptable and not too happy with that description. Have to say the delivery driver was excellent!”

“Wonderful healthy large specimen that look so much more elegant than the alternative cherry laurel. These are potted up months before sale to ensure they remain healthy after planting. If you are thinking of going elsewhere check that they extract them from the ground months before you get them like Grasslands do. I emailed the trade team with a few questions beforehand and they responded immediately, very happy with the service, I will be back for more in the autumn”
