Trachycarpus - Windmill palm- are exotic evergreen, hardy palms. They are one of the easiest palms to grow in our climate.Trachycarpus create their own trunk as new foliage pushes out from the top of the plant. They will eventually reach a most impressive size of around 12m. Trachycarpus Fortunei has huge fan shaped green, hand-like leaves with sprays of fragrant creamy white flowers appear in early Summer and a huge trunk. They like alot of full sun and will grow in all soils. They are extremely hardy and very easy to grow. No pruning is required.
