“I bought this to replace my Dime when I damaged it although I got another Dime too just in case! My first impresssions when I got the Splice was that it didn't seem as well finished as the Dime. Some of the corners were a little rougher and it doesn't feel as smooth.
That pales into insignificant when you use it though. I always found the plier option to be one I rarely used but the main scissors I use all the time and are excellent and well made. the knife is good and sharp and the serrated blade is a very useful addition. I find the bottle opener to be less impressive than the one on the Dime - but it works which is all it needs to do.
Is this a better pocket multitool than the Dime? In my opinion, it's a winner and I'm very happy to have made the change. Now, just add the Dime's bottle opener, get rid of the almost completely unnecessary screwdriver giving you space for the Dime's plastic tape cutter and you've got a fantastic tool!
