“I bought one of these multi tools over 15 years ago and used it pretty much everyday. The main blade is so easy to deeply and retract, so great when I only have one hand available.
All these years has taken its toll though and the blade has been sharpened to paste serrated edge, (and try as I may I can't get a replacement!) so I thought I'd treat myself and replace the whole thing.
I have to say, I think the tooling has changed a little over the years. The small lugs, used to open the small screwdrivers, are a little shallower and aren't as prominant so not as easy to grip with a fingernail. The rest of the tool is a little stiff but it could be that I'm used to the well worn version.
My only problem with this tool is the warranty. When it came to replacing my old blade I tried many avenues but couldn't get one. The did replace the sheath foc at the time which was very good of them. Hopefully it'll be another 15 years before I need to replace this again.”

I have owned this multi tool for over 15 yrs and broke the small plate that works the pliers - contacted the customer service [Fiskars] and they are sending out a new multi tool.....Can't complain about that!”

“I have had one of these for about 12 years. I purchased it in America (before they had Gerber UK). I use and abuse it all the time. I was in the army as a tank mechanic when I bought it and it's still coming with me around the world on various trips. I have broken it twice in this time and had no trouble with warranty claims even though I have no receipt. Firstly, 6 years after purchase I posted it back to America and they sent me a brand new one, and now 12 years after purchase Gerber UK is posting me a replacement wire stripper to screw on. I believe it will last a lifetime even if I do keep using it as a hammer, or trying to cut titanium bolts with the wire stripper!!!!”
