“Heavy, but durable and comes with a lid. It is microwave-safe (which is not stated in the provided documents), so I had to check out KitchenAid's website to find that it was OK for microwave use. As said in my main review, I bought this specifically to transfer ingredients pre or post-processing in the mixer to the microwave for melting or partial cooking and then back to the mixer as needed without having to scoop everything out of the otherwise metal mixing bowl and back again. It is heavy and needs care obviously, and is expensive at £99, but can be found on Gerald Giles for just over half this price, so get one now whilst you can if you think this is something you would need it for.”
