“Have been eying this up for 18months+ as I have been growing my British Watch collection since Brexit & Covid. Partner suggested she get it for me for Christmas if I promised to stop buying watches for a year and put the money aside every month. I conceeded - Today I opend the G-01 and I was blown away from start to finish. The unboxing is beyond pure joy - my best ever yet (I have Chritopher Ward / WT Authur / Farer / Marloe - these were great opening experiences). The watch exceeded all of my expectations. A pure piece of art work - design, look , colour, size, weight, fit, strap - the fume face is stunning as it fades into dark from light, it looks & feels alive, as though it is backlit. The hands & hour markers sit on the watch face with strength and elegance in equal measure. This is a watch that exudes a pricepoint way beyond its price. The Ostrich strap is a stroke of genious - no way would I be choosing it on its own(just not my thing), but boy this is a visual match made in heaven . Saw these watches and was intrigued by the colors and dials. Red and grey looks amazing.
I don’t know how they do it, but the colors and how they change and dance…awesome. I chose the red.I don’t have red color one. Don’t worry it’s quite a subtle color.depending on the light it can sparkle or seem subdued. When it darkens the hints of brown and orange comes out. Never boring.
I like that it has solid Seiko movement along with sapphire glass. All this and at the discounted price of €250,00….seems the perfect package. You can’t get this price quality even when you buy an actual Seiko.
What was better than expected was the ostrich strap. Intriguing lines that you don’t get with other leathers and the service. Speed of delivery and the all in pricing. Amazing. Even faster than Amazon prime.
I like it so much I ordered a lot of straps to mix and match. I think geckota and watch gecko have a winning combination at hand. Hope long term it stays great too.”

“I have wanted his watch for two years approx. was very worried it may sell out!! as many Geckota models are limited production; so when it turned out to be 20% discount I paid the price!!(normally the average discount I find, and I am usually prepared to wait is 68% off!!)
And it was worth it; probably the best/most attractive red dial watch available at the current time under $3000 usd. Obviously this watch was seriously less in cost but what a beautiful thing. All of the colours are great.
Undertones of the Panerai cushion shape case with a totally unique dial ,but again not totally alien dial design to Panerai: in fact,"IMO" more attractive. This watch works with many different colours and styles/techtures of leather strap; but I attached it to a Geckota beads of rice bracelet, that I had on a previous chrono racing watch ,and what a looker it is. Great spec .and budget price with high end quality of finish!!!!”
