Avocet Cockspur Window Handles
This handle is commonly found on older PVC, Wooden and aluminium windows. It closes on to an adjacent cockspur wedge striker to create a barrier against cold and noise. Replacing both your handle and the wedge striker could greatly improve the efficiency of your window.

How to measure
Check the hand of your handle by refering to the images above.
Measure the backset from the base of the handle to the underside of the spur.

“These handles were an exact fit for my existing upvc window. I liked the way that the backlash measurement was included in the dimensions of the handle as a lot of other companies don’t show this in as much detail and this is essential to get the correct fit! Delivery was also very prompt. Many thanks!!”

“Quality is good, and fits well. Delivery prompt and well packaged. Slightly disappointed that the ancillary bits weren't included. I reused the old screws, which is efficient, but no sticky screw covers so screw heads remain visible after fitting. Can't say it bothers me in the slightest as the window is not 'pretty' anyway, but would have been a nice finishing touch. Also no key provided to fit in the locks. Again, no locking required in my case, but the key must have been manufactured to fit the lock, so why not include it?”
