We wanted a shed to replace our old wooden shed. After reading the reviews and watching the videos on YouTube, we decided on the Palram 6 x 12 shed in Amber. Like others, I was dubious when I saw the components. The polycarbonate panels look very flimsy, but they really are as tough as nails. When the structure is bolted together it does become very strong. If you are expecting it to be rigid like a wooden shed then you will not get that. When you push the shed it will move a little but it is strong. One of the best features is the skylight roof panels. From the outside they look black, but from inside the light transmission is amazing. The big feature for me is the fact that the shed will not need to be treated or painted and will continue to look as good as it does now. It is really a very smart shed and great bang for buck. Important points to note: 1. The quality of the components is very good indeed so no need to worry 2. The design and engineering of the shed is 1st class, and the assembly instructions are excellent 3. Definitely watch the many YouTube videos before you start assembly. It will be invaluable for when you start 4. Choose a calm day to build the shed. I would say that this is vital 5. Have at least 2 people to assemble. A 3rd person nearby for occasional help is useful too 6. Do not underestimate the need for a totally flat base. This is vital if the shed is to all line up as it should. We build a solid decking base for the shed to sit on 7. Where the floor sections overlap each other, these do not lie flat and are a serious trip hazard. This is easily rectified by running a good quality duct tape along the overlaps. A rubber mat on the floor would be good too. 8. Bolt it down!
