“Q: are there any recommendations for how to create a 'box' ie how to finish the edges so they don't fray? Or is that not an issue? Should I iron the edges to melt? TIA”

Hi, Thank you for your query. With Veggiemesh, we usually recommend running a knife over the edge. We would suggest that the knife is heated before doing this to seal in the edges. Kind regards, Gardening Naturally

“Never used this before but have high hopes. Looks and feels like a robust fabric. I am loath to cut it but will need to as I need some elsewhere later in the month. So fingers crossed this does not lead to fraying.”

“Stronger than I expected it to be, I bought because I've seen them on Charles dowsing's yt channel. Also my veg got obliterated with debris netting last year, I'm hoping to be ahead of the game this time. The gloves are off with these bugs.”

“A good product at a good price. Didn't protect from black fly which has been quite frustrating. Generally protective. Having to use washing up liquid on my netted green beans however.”

“Excellent netting, far superior to the cheaper, flimsier stuff I bought earlier. Very easy to use but heavy enough to stay in place (we have a very windy site). I baulked a little at the initial cost of the net and corresponding aluminium poles (ensure to buy clips for the net, which I forgot!) but they've provided a fantastic environment for my kale and I'm sure will be very useful for several years.”

“The mesh has been covering my beans, squashes & sweetcorn for almost a week now and the plants are thriving. Will be buying more to cover the other beds. I really like that the mesh comes hemmed in different sizes. I feel it will last a good few years.”
