Butterfly Netting Green or Black Reviews

4.9 Rating 212 Reviews
Read Gardening Naturally Reviews

This soft butterfly netting will stop cabbage white butterflies and birds ruining your vegetables, especially brassica plants, like cabbage and kale. It is available in green or black.
The butterfly net will keep butterflies away from your brassicas and other vegetables, meaning you get to enjoy the fruits of your labour.
What is soft butterfly netting made from?
The butterfly netting is made from strong HDPE and UV stabilised. With the feel of soft fabric to touch and durable enough to last for many years.
Where can I use soft butterfly netting?
The soft butterfly netting is light enough to lay directly over crops and strong enough to be used to cover frames, cages, or hoops.
Our soft butterfly netting will also protect ponds from falling debris and Herons.
Can bees get through butterfly netting?
This netting has a mesh size too compact for bees to fit through. As a result, if you are growing crops that need pollinating, remove this netting during flowering.
How small does butterfly netting need to be?
Our soft butterfly netting is 5mm x 7mm which is plenty small enough to stop most butterflies from being able to access your crops.

Netting is lovely to handle with minimum of snags on fruit bushes. Butterfly netting has been sagging a bit in the heat but serves its purpose well and is easily handled to tighten it up.

Wonderful to see the butterflies on the outside rather than inside!

Soft but firm enough to stay taught over a frame. I fitted the butterfly net just in time as there had been very few cabbage whites about. However, as if by magic, the next day, droves of cabbage whites descended on my allotment, trying, in vain, to access my brassicas! I’m glad to say, they have had no luck, thanks to the nets. However, my neighbours have not been so lucky!

So far the soft butterfly and bird netting has provide the defence against white butterflies I hoped for. Just need to see how long it lasts.
