“i tried this 4-5 weeks ago definatly a lot less slugs around however just starting to see baby slugs around again which is probably due to eggs hatching so i have given the ground a second dose . Hopefully it will kill them off before they mature enough to breed again. I think it made enough of a difference to warrent buying the second batch”

“Purchase was quickly and carefully dispatched on the date expected. It has been applied, so Garden Naturally have done everything in their power perfectly. now it's down to the nematodes and I'll only know that n a few weeks time when I look at my hostas.”

Hi, Thanks for your review. Nematodes can take up to 3-4 weeks for application to take effect and show reduction in pest numbers and we advise that results may vary as it is a live product and can be influenced by a variety of external factors. Depending on the severity of the pest, repeat applications may be required for additional protection. Kind regards Gardening Naturally

“Totaly useless , no effect at all on under 30 mtr double dosed over 3 weeks and still slugs everywhere , spent £27 on this for nothing and got better results with £3 of slug pellets , don’t waste your money on this snake oil , pics attached after 3 weeks double treatment”

Hi, Sorry to hear you haven’t had the results you expected from the product. Nematodes are a biological control, however this means their effectiveness can be limited by several factors: Nematodes require specific environmental conditions to thrive and be effective. They need adequate moisture over the first couple of weeks, moderate temperatures (applying when UV exposure is low) avoiding big drops in temperature overnight below the threshold, and having suitable soil pH levels. Extremes in temperature, dryness, or unfavorable pH can reduce their viability and effectiveness. When applying nematodes you need to use plenty of water ensuring they are spread evenly and fully absorbed ensuring they reach lower depths to reach the pests effectively. Pests can develop a resistance to nematode infection and the overall effectiveness of the control, however, if this is the case we recommend applying another dose to increase the volume of nematodes to overcome the resistance.
