About Nemaslug Nematodes
Nemaslug slug nematodes is a natural organic pest control which is environmentally friendly. Slug nematodes are microscopic, transparent worms, which feed and multiply inside the slug. Easy to apply and completely safe to use around children, pets and wildlife, making it the perfect solution for organic gardening. The less common name is Phasmarhabditis hermaphrodita.
How do Slug Nematodes Work?
Once the nematodes are applied the slugs stop feeding after a few days and die within a week. For total control apply every 6 weeks. Slug nematodes are found naturally in the soil, by applying these you are just topping up.
The nematodes enter the slug and secrete bacteria which kills the slug.
Start your slug control early and apply at least a week before planting to ensure your garden is safe from slugs.
Are Slug Nematodes Easy to Apply
The nematodes come complete with instructions and can be applied using a watering can or nematode applicator. You just apply to moist soil when the soil temperature is above 5ºC (41ºF) and ensure the soil does not dry out for at least two weeks after applying nematodes. Nematodes are capable of surviving the odd frost; so don't worry if the temperature falls after you have applied the nematodes.
How Long do Nematodes Last in the Packet?
Please note these are a live product and should be refrigerated if not being used straight away, each pack has an expiry date usually about 2 weeks - this product is non-returnable. Use the whole pack before the expiry date. Best applied: Feb/March - October.
One packet treats 40sq.m.
Please note Nematodes are live material and cannot be returned. They will usually have an expiry date of around 2 weeks. The effectiveness can sometimes vary due to external factors.
Now in smaller packaging due to higher concentrate.
Delivery is completely free when just ordering nematodes. Should you purchase any other items then our standard delivery charge will apply.

Product is easy to use and seem to be doing the trick very quickly. Moved into a new home with a fairly wild garden so to say we had a slug and snail infestation is very much an understatatement. My plants are recovering nicely.

First time I have used and the results are good. Living in mid Wales we get a large rainfall and the constant battle with slugs is time consuming. But the Nematodes are working well and do not affect the wild life in our garden which is really good. Will buy more for next growing season.

Applied Nemaslug to flowerbeds and lawn and sure I can see results already as young plants have not been eaten by slugs.

I have never used a product like this before and was dreading using it to be honest but the slug problem this year is so bad and my plant loss is awful. The instructions were clear and really easy as long as you have a course rose to attach to your watering can which I purchased prior. I needn't have worried though. I shut the puppy inside and off I went on a wet evening. It was painless and very simple to do. I'll definitely do it again and you can't see the little wormy things which was my concern - they are microscopic!!! The difference was amazing after just 2 days.
