About Nemaslug Nematodes
Nemaslug slug nematodes is a natural organic pest control which is environmentally friendly. Slug nematodes are microscopic, transparent worms, which feed and multiply inside the slug. Easy to apply and completely safe to use around children, pets and wildlife, making it the perfect solution for organic gardening. The less common name is Phasmarhabditis hermaphrodita.
How do Slug Nematodes Work?
Once the nematodes are applied the slugs stop feeding after a few days and die within a week. For total control apply every 6 weeks. Slug nematodes are found naturally in the soil, by applying these you are just topping up.
The nematodes enter the slug and secrete bacteria which kills the slug.
Start your slug control early and apply at least a week before planting to ensure your garden is safe from slugs.
Are Slug Nematodes Easy to Apply
The nematodes come complete with instructions and can be applied using a watering can or nematode applicator. You just apply to moist soil when the soil temperature is above 5ºC (41ºF) and ensure the soil does not dry out for at least two weeks after applying nematodes. Nematodes are capable of surviving the odd frost; so don't worry if the temperature falls after you have applied the nematodes.
How Long do Nematodes Last in the Packet?
Please note these are a live product and should be refrigerated if not being used straight away, each pack has an expiry date usually about 2 weeks - this product is non-returnable. Use the whole pack before the expiry date. Best applied: Feb/March - October.
One packet treats 40sq.m.
Please note Nematodes are live material and cannot be returned. They will usually have an expiry date of around 2 weeks. The effectiveness can sometimes vary due to external factors.
Now in smaller packaging due to higher concentrate.
Delivery is completely free when just ordering nematodes. Should you purchase any other items then our standard delivery charge will apply.

I have bought Nemaslug 3 times. The first two times it worked very well, but unfortunately the last batch appeared to be a bit different. They appeared to have changed the recipe which made it very difficult to dissolve. I tried my best stirring it according to the instructions and my experience with the first 2 batches. I was still finding lumps after a lot of stirring. I applied it in optimum conditions (after it rained) and there were only a few slugs out at the time. That was a week ago and now there are slugs on my courgettes and potato plants. I wasn’t impressed, so I trod on a few and ran one over with my wheelie bin. I’m looking for a different brand as I really need to get them under control.

Always arrive when requested. Do not eradicate all slugs but do a very competent job. Been using for several years and will continue to do so.

These seem to work, we have far fewer slugs than we did. They’re not gone completely but I don’t think I expected that!
