King Size Victorian Bell Cloche (Pack of 2) Reviews

4.8 Rating 8 Reviews
Read Gardening Naturally Reviews

King-size Victorian bell cloches are the largest of all bell cloches.
Used for warming the soil, planting out and encouraging stable, healthy growth of seedlings and tender plants. The king-size Victorian bell allows you to conserve warmth and direct rainwater and moisture into the surrounding soil.
Ideal for over-wintering herbaceous border plants and semi-hardy perennials, growing winter lettuces, and encouraging early crops of fruit, vegetables and salads. It is also great for establishing kitchen herb gardens.
Pins are NOT included with the cloche.
For these cloches, you would need 4 pins per cloche. The hole diameter is 4mm.
Pack of 2. Size: Height: 1' (31cm), Diameter: 1' 3" (40cm)

Great cheap alternative to the expensive and fragile glass bells. They do exactly the same at a fraction of the cost. They are robust enough for their purpose, they may need pegging down if you’re in a windy spot, but other than that they’re great.

These are ideal. Well made of, apparently, durable plastic and a useful size. I have them over individual plants or small groups, both vegetable and emerging flowers ( lupins etc). They are versatile and able to be secured, I just use thin garden stick supports rather than more expensive custom made pegs. Not expensive, they have a adjustable vent system which is useful.
