Hessian fabric, also known as burlap, is a thick, rough woven material made from jute. At 270gsm, it is a heavyduty fabric that can provide frost protection for plants and crops as well as having other uses in the garden.
The fabric helps to trap warmth and moisture in the soil, preventing the formation of frost & ice.
