These heavy duty, 70g horticultural garden fleece bags will protect your plants from frost to -7/8ºC. Complete with a drawstring at the base making them incredibly easy to put on and remove, just pop the fleece bag over your plant and pull the drawstring tight at the bottom.
Fleece plant jackets are used to protect plants not just from frost but from wind and hail too.
Ideal for tropical plants which need a little extra warmth to protect them from our chilly climate. Can be used upside down on hanging baskets.
These fleece bags can be washed in warm soapy water.

Used to cover a large fig tree that’s now too big to move inside over winter. The zip and draw cord arrangement works well and the whole thing feels like a good quality item. I suppose the test will be whether the fig survives winter. I am hopeful.

Really impressed with these. Well made and feel like they may last longer than some other fleece bags that I've used before. The zipped side is a handy feature.

Will be put to the test during the next few months but they should be ok.

Excellent fleece bag. Easy to use and a good weight providing protection. I used cable ties to gather fleece round bottom rather than draw string which seemed a bother to draw up. On a smaller bag it might be easier. Will be ordering another large bag and waiting for a cold snap with confidence my trees will survive. Shipping not a problem to anywhere in UK.

Good thick bags but I found the zip up one side only helps if the drawstring is unknotted too and one side pulled out of the toggle so it's completely open. I tried pulling a zipped-up bag over the top of a 6' tall palm tree (the bags are 2.4 x 2m) but being stiff and heavy that's quite difficult. I gave up and untied. the drawstring. My only slight gripe is that the drawstring unravels when the knot is undone making it tricky to thread back through the toggle but to be fair, I don't suppose it was meant to be undone and it doesn't affect the performance of the bag. Do they work? Yes, we've had some heavy frosts and some snow and although there's been ice on the bags, the palms inside are undamaged - without the bags they'd have certainly had cold damage so definitely worth the price. They don't seem to get snagged on the palms like some thinner fleeces do so should last longer (and work better without holes torn in them) and I've also noticed that being quite thick at 100gsm they don't get blown around as much as the thinner 35gsm fleece on other plants does. Overall I'm very pleased with them, not cheap but a lot cheaper than replacing a big dead palm (assuming you can find one now thanks to Defra...)

Good thick Quality. Easy to use and secure in place although I will not be able to confirm how good the product is until after the winter.
