Aluminium fruit and vegetable cage kits are available with or without netting. Protect your crops, Choose bird netting to protect fruit from birds, butterfly netting to stop the cabbage white butterfly and Veggiemesh to stop smaller insects.

Unlike other companies we do not have large spans between legs, the maximum span between legs is 1.98m (6ft 4in) ensuring the cages do not bow.
The covers are not fitted, making them easy to lift for working the beds.
Please note: snow is very heavy, if it is forecast remove the netting.

“My choice of cage dimension involved six junctions of two lengths of aluminium tubing by a straight joiner. After rain the plastic joiners had buckled under the weight of water hanging in the veggiemesh. I complained and was immediately sent replacement tubing which fitted together without the need for the plastic joiner. The replacements have not buckled. This rapid response was appreciated.”

“Very disappointing. We bought a large (1.2m high, 3.6m X 2.4m) brassica cage but sadly it isn't at all robust so we'll be looking for another solution next year. The little plastic connectors aren't strong enough for the horizontal lengths, so they sag and break, then everything else collapses. (This is in standard, moderately windy conditions, I appreciate we've had extreme winds this year so I'm ignoring the effects of those. And our site is not particularly exposed.) The design would probably be fine for a smaller frame but not the size we ordered. We regret buying it.”
