“Appalling. Wooden planter delivered drenched in water, sodden, with large amounts of white fungal mold and some green algae growing on it. Delivered byTufnells, the delivery man would not wait the 5 seconds it would have taken for me to slit open the plastic and confirm what I thought I could see through the plastic wrapping which was full of water. He said I could arrange for someone ( someone else that is!) to come back to collect it!!! That was Thursday 28th November. I phoned immediately and was told the driver had probably been unwilling to wait 5 seconds because he would then have had an extra journey back to the depot! I was told the delivery service would phone the next day to book to collect. They did not so I phoned on Friday and was told they would phone Monday. They did not so I phoned on Monday and was told that it would be collected that day, although I had received no call to book. It was not collected. I phoned on Tuesday and was told it would be collected that day. It was not. I phoned on Wednesday and was told it would be collected that day. It was not. I phoned on Thursdsy and was told it would be collected that day. It was not. I phoned again and got Sandra the supervisor and she said she would do everything possible to get it collected by Tufnells the next day. She said she was escalating it. I received a phone message from the delivery firm late on Thursday saying it would not be delivered that day after all. That was the first phone call I had from them. It was eventually collected on Friday 6th, yesterday. I now face the attempt to get my money refunded and hope that will not be as difficult! I must say that throughout this ordeal Sandra's team were always extremely helpful, clear and polite. It seems the problems are:- 1 You need to store your products in the dry 2 You need to check their condition before despatch 3 The delivery firm seems unable to do its job.”
