The Gocycle G4i has effortlessly woven itself into the fabric of my daily life, earning its place as an indispensable part of my routine. This sleek, foldable electric bike is nothing short of a marvel. The ease with which it folds down to a compact size allows me to seamlessly transition from commuting on busy city streets to navigating public transportation. Its agility and responsiveness on the road are truly remarkable, making every journey a joy. Do I feel like Batman? Some days.

If you have the opportunity to buy a G4i+ and deal with Fully Charged - simply do, both the bike and the business are simply put, best in class. I acquired the G4i+ to enjoy for the city and urban riding, and the bike is spectacular fun. The team at FullyCharged a true delight to deal with!

First off, the bike itself is great. All the components are screaming quality, and it's built solidly. It handles like a full-size bike. You don't feel the lack of wheel inches, and it even feels more agile maneuvering through the city. It's hard to find a bike that is spec'd like that, especially among folders. Now, I think it shouldn't be advertised as a hybrid commuter. While you can take it on a bus or the tube, it doesn't mean you should. It's not Brompton, and I would say it's more an A-to-B, fun-to-ride type of bike, which is easier to store inside. You definitely don't want to take it with you on rush hour, it's quite heavy and bulky, unstable when you try to roll it. It's not convenient to take it with you to the store or restaurant, and you won't be leaving it outside because of its looks (not to mention it's hard to securely lock it because of the frame, it's a problem of many folders). And it leaves you with a dilemma: it's an awesome bike to ride, but it's hard to ride it everywhere because you cannot leave it. It's not a problem with a bike and more with what you expect of it, but it was quite disappointing for me. There is a problem with a bike, though, and this problem is its tires. They collect all the debris from the road, I am constantly getting punctures, and while the one-sided fork makes repairing the inner tube a breeze, it's still annoying. It's like the tires were designed for a race track and not London roads. It again spoils the desire to take it for a ride, I just don't trust it to take me to where I'm going safely. And you cannot swap the tires for better ones because of the rim, although I'm leaning more toward it. I think I'll break the rim faster because of non-ending punctures since you cannot always spot the loss of pressure straight away. So, overall, I'd say it's beautifully engineered in terms of performance and handling, but little thought was given to everyday use. It feels like a supercar in a city: head-turning, fast, and impractical.

Just a few niggles which would make the bike even lovelier. Kickstand - it isn’t always easy to kick down with foot. On/off - the rubber push button is not very good. I’d rather a firm switch that clicked on or off. Weight - for the price it still seems a kg or 2 heavier than it should be. Surely it could be lighter. Light switch twist - easy to turn off lights by mistake Bell - a bit rubbish. Come on Gocycle you could make something easier to use and with more volume - it doesn’t t cut it in London mayhem. Rubber ‘bung’ to charge point lifts itself out - a sliding cover would be better. Hope this is helpful

Expensive yes but great modern styling, great ride and manoeuvrability. East to fold take on the train. Had my first puncture easy to remove tyre and fit new tube without removing wheel.Bought the front bag which is very useful and easily removed to carry. Just love the electric assist using the city mode in London. Just had my free 6 week bike health check with minor adjustment looking forward to my next ride. I’ve already had people stop to talk to me about the bike didn’t get that with my touring bike.
