“I have been a customer of Friars for several years now and these are another of our favourites so we have ordered a number of boxes over this time. There always used to be a 1/4 inch or so thick sheet of padding inside the lid which kept the chocolates in position and stopped them jiggling around. The last 2 or 3 orders have only had a sheet of thin tissue type paper and when the box is opened a shower of chocolate sprinkles pours out everywhere, which is annoying. This last box had chocolate sprinkles all over the lid and all round inside edges of the box, much worse than any previously. Because I ordered these for ourselves for Easter they didn't travel anywhere else once delivered to our home. I must say that I did not open them on arrival to check condition - we also had a box of rose and violet creams and a box of chocolate gingers, both of these had see through lids and looked in perfect condition, so I didn't expect any less from the cherry liqueurs. Before the change of packaging in the lid I have always been so pleased with your service and the quality of your chocolates - they have been one of life's luxuries. Please will you go back to the previous, more secure packaging that you used to use.”
