“I was originally going to buy a large box of chocolates for my wife's birthday from Hotel Chocolate, from whom I order regularly. Unfortunately, due to the effects of the coronavirus, they were unable to deliver before her birthday. I found your company whilst searching online for an alternative chocolatier. Impressed by your history and your pricing (not cheap), I placed an order for your Signature Chocolates - 48. The attached photograph speaks for itself......This is what my wife was confronted with when she opened the box. Her obvious dismay and disappointment was only exceeded by my embarrassment. The box is far too flimsy and the way it was packaged for delivery totally inadequate. As for the chocolates, they were not a patch on the quality of Hotel Chocolate. I have given one star because I was unable to send the review with 'no stars'. Needless to say, I will not be buying anything else from your company or recommending that anybody else does.”

“I cannot do this at present as they are a birthday gift for someone who has a birthday on July 7th. When I have feed back from them I shall let you know!. However I can say that they arrived safely and that your ordering online system was easy to engage in which is more than some of the experiences I have had!. sincerely Yolanda”

“When goods arrived the packaging was so bad that although the box was still intact the chocolates were out of the tray and completely mixed up. I reported this to Friars and they were most apologetic and refunded my money. The actual chocolates, although damaged, were very nice.”

“I bought these chocolates for an NHS worker so did not consume them myself. I can however pass along her comments that they were decadent, luxurious and scrumptious and she shared them with her Mum and Daughter under duress! I look forward to my own box in the fullness of time, definitely at Christmas at the latest.”
