“Sent to my daughter (well over 18!) but when she opened first one she struggled to get the paper off as was stuck on, presumably by alcohol and chocolate had bloom on it. It also tasted foul. Checked sell by date but there was none. Same for next 2 days. Think it was last year’s. Contacted Friars who apologised and are sending another one. Have always had top quality before from Friars so extra disappointing.”

“Sorry to say I have been disappointed with the chocolate liqueur Advent Calendar. Some of the chocolates have been dented, the chocolate is cloudy looking; and I was expecting the liqueur to be runny but so far they have been solid.”

“Very disappointed with this advent calendar as the chocolate was discoloured and the middle didn’t contain any obvious liqueur . Very unusual lack of quality from friars”
