“Superceeded by part with different ( cheaper finish). original part is chrome plated, superceeded replacement is functionally equivalent but BZP. Doesn't look good on an 80/81 LC. Perhapps the part note should mention this or a link provided to the change detail.”

Dear Peter, We do find this is the case sometimes with the older parts. The factories outsource a lot of the older items to third parties and we do sometimes find that the production process changes over the years which does unfortunately include the finish. We are unaware of this until our customers point this out, we apologise for the changes but it is beyond our control. Kind regards Fowlers Parts
