“What an amazing day with my new friend and personal guide Bessica ❤️
We started the morning at Wat Sri Sunthon ~ the temple of the Reclining Buddha. Buddha is in the reclining position realizing enlightenment.
Next we travelled to Wat Phranang Sang, the oldest temple in Phuket (over 500 years old) and dedicated to the Warrior Sister Heroines who fought and defeated the invading Burmese army. The temple is adorned with murals telling the history of the heroines and the life of Buddha.
Whilst travelling Bessica was making wishes for the weather to clear enough to visit the Giant Lily Pads ~ Victoria Amazonica imported to Thailand from the Amazon rainforest. They are the world strongest and largest plants and can hold a human up
To 60kg. These lily pads are now protected. Our wish was granted and the experience amazing. No sooner had we finished and the rain again poured.
Last stop was Wat Phra Thong ~ temple of the Golden Buddha.
A fascinating and incredible day made golden by my guide Bessica who was my teacher, my photographer, my friend. I have learned so much thanks to him discussing history, religion and life ❤️

“What a day I had with Natty ❤️ I learnt so much about Thai culture and Buddhism and its similarities to Hinduism. We visited 3 temples - each very different. I was able to pray in one of those that felt very special. Natty was so good at taking photos which is really useful when travelling alone. The Lotus Pond was a lovely place to sit and take a few minutes and the drone photos are really great! All so easy too, they simply send to your iPhone straight after. This was a truly special day made perfect by my tour guide. I was collected from my hotel and dropped off and there was great communication via WhatsApp throughout the whole process and I couldn’t have asked for more from the trip. Thank you!”
“The water lilies were amazing! The gardens and water lilies were very beautiful, serene and peaceful. We also enjoyed seeing some historic temples and learning about the history of Thailand's history. Our tour guide, Bessima, was very friendly, funny, kind and engaging. He was very patient with us, and helped us to build some lasting memories, by asissting us in taking the best photos ever. Overall, it was a brilliant day.
