The day started with a comfortable pickup by my amazing guide, Mai, who immediately made me feel welcome and relaxed. Our first stop, the War Remnants Museum, was a deeply emotional experience. The exhibits were raw, powerful, and full of stories that shed light on Vietnam’s past. Mai guided me through the museum with sensitivity, explaining the history behind the photos and artifacts in a way that brought it all to life. I left with a profound understanding and appreciation for the resilience of the Vietnamese people. The next stop at the Thich Quang Duc Monument was peaceful and reflective. Mai shared the story behind this powerful site, and standing there, I felt a deep connection to the history and meaning of it. From there, we visited the Khmer Pagoda, which took my breath away. The architecture was intricate and beautiful, and the serenity of the pagoda felt like an oasis in the middle of the city. I could have stayed there for hours just soaking in the atmosphere. The Fito Medicine Museum was an unexpected surprise! I loved learning about Vietnam’s traditional medicine practices and seeing the tools and herbs used over the centuries. It added such a unique element to the day and gave me a new perspective on Vietnamese culture.
