The Batik-making process was fascinating to watch, and Wid explained the cultural significance of the patterns so well. Celuk Village’s silver and gold craftsmanship was a highlight—the level of detail in each piece was incredible. Mas Village was just as impressive, with master carvers turning wood into works of art. The Ubud market was colorful and lively, and Wid helped me find beautiful handmade items to take home. The Ubud Palace was the grand finale, with its elegant architecture and serene gardens. Wid’s passion for sharing Bali’s culture made this tour unforgettable.”

The Ubud market was a bit hectic, but Tomato guided us through it effortlessly. The Ubud Palace was beautiful, and Tomato’s stories about Bali’s royal family made it even more meaningful.”
“Really enjoyed this tour, we got to see the Batik makers, silver jewellery makers and wood carvers. I thought that we would be visiting traditional villages to experience these things but these were workshops with shops attached for you ro make purchases. Everything is high quality.

“In addition to the Culture Tour, we also did the Bali Instagram tour. Sugara was our guide on both trips and he was excellent! It felt like doing a tour with a good friend or family member. Sugara did an excellent job of listening to what our priorities were and making reasonable adjustments as we went along. He even found a Willie Nelson channel on Spotify! In addition to an understanding of the history of Bali, Sugara provided an excellent understanding of the Balinese culture, religion and family life. Make sure you understand the meaning of an Instagram photo stop. It could take up to 2-3 hours to get a single photo and significantly affect the timing of your tour. The photo is not mandatory.”
“What a great experience this tour was, it suited our desire to see less of the 'typically touristy', and more of the 'makers and creators'. Some amazing talent was witnessed and we were given brief explanations of the different techniques used. We saw Batik printing, wood carving, and silver making. We were given a guided tour of Ubud palace and our driver/ tour guide Wayne/Wayan was full of knowledge and care. We felt well looked after and safe in the (beautifully) airconditioned car with him. Can highly recommend this tour if you're after a low key and relaxing visit.”
