“The staff from Forever Vacation all tried their best to make our experience a great one but as with any activities involving nature, the unexpected will certainly arise. The first stop at Manta Point (or Bay..?) was very crowded and one big manta did emerge but then hundreds of people were chasing it away and in the midst, one has to be careful not be be kicked or elbowed by the frantic snorkelers. The 2nd spot for snorkeling was so-so and there was an obvious thermocline and was kind of chilly. The corals and fish at the 3rd stop is amazing and the drift simply carries you without having to swim at all. The current at the 4th stop was too strong so we were moved to another spot near the jetty but there was nothing to see. The sight seeing part of the trip was also great and well-organized. The landscape at the Broken Beach and Kelingking Beach was breathtaking. Due to time constraint, we did not hike down to the beach at the Kelingking Beach. The only complaint is the lunch - which is quite bad even we did not expect anything fancy. And the worst thing is the false advertisement of Tripadvisor/Viator (we booked the trip through their website). They raise our expectations very high by saying in their advertisement: "lunch at a beautiful beach front club...." while in fact it was a very bad lunch at a very shanty roadside eatery.... No fault of Forever Vacation though because in their own website, they simply said "Lunch".”
“Excellent tour, dont think about it, just book it!
Within a few hours of booking on Viator, I received a whatsapp message from Forever Vacation confirming my booking which was very reassuring and i was asked questions about our preferences so they could personalise the tour - such as favourite music, preferred pace of tour (relaxing, cultural or adventurous) etc. Such impressive and thoughtful service and i was excited for this tour before it even began!
A day before the tour i received a full schedule confirming pick up, drop off, lunch and activity time as well as names and photos of who will be our driver, land tour guide and snorkelling tour guide. All parties were in this whatsapp group chat and the coordination amongst them was amazing, they couldnt be more organised, so we felt we were in very safe hands. Any question you have you will receive a prompt friendly response.
There was flexibility to edit the schedule depending on your preferred pace and they were very informative about which attractions would be crowded or take time/walking to reach there so you can make an informed decision.
Our driver Beni was on time and drove us to a pharmacy on the way to the port to buy travel sickness medication, thank you Beni you're a lifesaver.
The public speedboat from Sanur to Nusa Penida was about 30 minutes and about 50 passangers on boat. It was smooth in the morning but very choppy heading home in the afternoon, but no seasickness thankfully.
Once we reached Nusa Penida, our second driver Oka was so sweet and accommodating. Traffic not too bad in May thankfully. He drove carefully to avoid bumps in the road and we enjoyed his company and chat throughout the day. He climbed a tree to take epic photos for us at Kelingking Cliff and made us a short video which will be a great memory to keep forever.
Crystal Bay was a busy beach and in hindsight we potentially may have enjoyed the alternative option of Angels Billabong more, which may have been more relaxed.
The waves at Crystal Bay were a bit choppy so i wasnt brave enough to venture out deeper were it may have been more calm and people were snorkelling.
Komang the boat driver and his assistant were very friendly and helpful.
My husband felt sick sick and requested to be taken back to port which Komang did swiftly which was very much appreciated and we are very sorry to the group for the inconvenience.
There were no manta rays to view on this particular day (10th May).
Overall i highly recommend this well organised and professional tour. They will look after you well to make sure you have the best day out.”

“Great day small group for the day and was taken to 4 different spot quality of water, reef and fish we saw was good. Guides that looked after us from Wyan who picked us up at hotel and delivered us to the port organised everything and helped with sorting out our boat and coffee needs to Nyana who met us at Nusa Pendina and was our guide on the island for the day, giving us the best experience with Kellingking beach lookout and photo stop, to the boys on the boat whom made sure our snorkeling ran smoothly, we were looked after by all.”
