Organic Pitted Prunes are antioxidant powerhouses.
Our Organic Pitted Prunes are firm and full of flavour.  Prunes start off similar to fresh plums but the variety grown to be dried into prunes are never referred to as 'plums' because they are always destined to be dried into prunes.  Organic prunes are great as a snack but can also be soaked to make a rich compote which is great on porridge.

Just one 56g serving of prunes is high in Vitamin A (beta-carotene), Vitamin K and a source of Potassium and Copper.  You can find a wide range of decadent recipes for your prunes and they combine well with cacao, almond and coffee flavours.

Well known for their bowel stimulating properties but good for so much more, prunes are higher in antioxidants than any other fruit.  Their deep colour signifies a high level of antioxidants, they boast 5700 ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) units per 100g.

Ingredients: Organic Prunes

Tasty 'proper' dried prunes. I sometimes like to eat them dry - I really don't like the 'partially rehydrated' ones they sell in the supermarkets - and you get more for your money when they are dry! At the moment, due to unfortunate side effects of medication, I'm having them, along with figs, gently heated in water until they are really soft then liquidising them - delicious.
