Organic Chickpeas are delicious in chana dal.
Organic Chickpeas are the starting point for so many delicious recipes.  They are one of the meatier textures when it comes to beans and pulses and they make fantastic curries.

Just one serving (120g) of chickpeas is high in Folate, Manganese, Copper and a source of Magnesium, Potassium, Phosphorus, Iron and Zinc.

If you combine chickpeas with whole grains or nuts then you get a complete protein containing all the essential amino acids needed by the body - good news for vegetarians and vegans.  If you like making your own dips then follow this link for a quick and easy hummus recipe.

Why not try something different and have a go at making your falafals with this organic turmeric falafal recipe?

It's hard to find a plant-based foodie who doesn't know all about the wondrous chickpea and its potential for delicious meals.

Ingredients: Organic Chickpeas

Hi there, Thank you for your review. These organic chickpeas do require soaking for 8-12 hours, before rinsing and then bringing to the boil for 10 minutes and then simmering for 1.5-2 hours until they are tender. If you are still struggling to get them to cook properly, then please contact our customer services team and we can try to help further. Kind regards,

As expected. A chickpea looks like a chickpea though! I assume they are organic as they say they are (I have no way of telling!) I preferred the previous, strong, plain bags as I reuse them in the freezer but accept there may be reasons why this has changed.

Excellent. Used for hummus/curries in our house. I soak them and pop them in the slow cooker with my pinhead oats (for porridge) to save energy.
