“It's garbage, I feel like this product has come to the market to take advantage solely of the UK rebate, it will get stuck, fail calibration, change your screen for no reason or sound an alarm when you are close to certain airspace like if hell breaks loose (can be removed in flight though or post), not record your flight and lacks functionalities that the competitors have. Flarm only works as a beacon although the box says otherwise (website used to say it too), what that means is that you won't be able to see your buddy pilots as it doesn't read data, only sends it. It doesn't have any kind of communication protocol like Bluetooth or Wi-Fi and the screen has a weird ghost effect that apparently is natural to that kind of screen which to me, is another excuse for a poor product, but, that's what the tech department said. A good thing about the product perhaps is the weight and the big screen, again, it gets marketed as easy to use with gloves, is not either, is quite difficult to hit that centre button with gloves. Get the Maxx or the Skytraxx, both have been in the market for long and are polished products, maybe this improves in a year or two, don't be a beta tester as I did, save your frustration for when you lose the thermal, not your instrument.”

“Bought this from FlyBubble to replace my old vario. The GPS-M Flarm is great unit and works straight out of the box. It’s fully customisable with the nab menus to set it up just as you like it. However, the new Instrument Manager software from Flymaster is very flakey and difficult to use. I would like this to be updated ASAP.”
