“I first visited Kennedy back in the 70's when it was a great symbol of National pride and in keeping with that it was free - the mantra being it was paid for by tax dollars and the people had a right tosee how they were wisely spent. Now it is operated by a commercial company to ensure the visitors don't 'cost the taxpayer' . A shift in strategy in keeping with the changing role of KSC itself, now virtually a living museum, as the USA pays the Russian regime to send its astronauts into space lacking the abilty, at least for the present, to do so itself. The input of commerce is not restricted to the KSC visit even future plans for Space Exploration now Involve 'partnerships' with SPACEX, McD ( not the burgers people - yet?) . The centre now e ven charges a car park fee of 10 Dollars as well as the admission cost for tickets FloridaTIX supply The centre has also seen an array of souvenirs shops spring up around a site which in places commerates those who lost their lives in the Shuttle and Gemini missions. Something I find disconcerting in the same way as discovering the Vatican selling tacky plastic replicas o fthe Virgin. However all of this cannot detract from the boldness and innovation of the enterprise. The exhibits of Atlas, Gemini, Challenger etc remain as monuments to those made of the ' right stuff' or mad enough to reach for the stars - recalling the National pride exemplified by the (possibly apocryphal) tale of the visiting VIP at Kennedy who asked a janitor holding a broom what work he did , receiving the reply " I help put a man on the Moon”

“I searched several sites and found FloridaTix the cheapest for Kennedy Space Centre. Form UK, so wanted assurance that I would not get scammed, but did recieve real tickets in good time for our trip”

“Bought a family ticket for Kennedy space centre and an airboat ride. The space centre was great, displays amazing really enjoyed it and the driver very informative. The 'meet the astronaut' was at the same time as the airboat ride so could not see him. The airboat ride was cancelled at very short notice due to storms (nowhere near us), and no alternative date or refund was offered - disappointed!!!”

“Amazing place where past, present and future space technology is on showcase. The bus tour is must. Attempt to go on bus tour as first attraction.”
