“Surprised to be disappointed in this product. Disappointed to have made a mess of secondary glazing installation. The tape has a powerful stick: no complaints there. I have no doubt it will stay put. Two problems, though: the tape delaminates easily when removing the red backing film i.e. unless very careful and lucky, the backing film brings some, and sometimes all, of the foam-backed sticking surface with it, leaving a tape that cannot easily be removed with no sticking surface on top. When used for secondary glazing, the parts lacking adhesive look horrible and, of course, is not adhering to the surface as it should. Second, the magnetic strength of the tape is rather weak. I thought the 12mm tape would be able to support up to 1m2 of 3mm Perspex but smaller panels than this have slid down the frame. I have resorted to screwing the panels in place at the top, which is a poor solution, but I cannot afford to buy more Perspex sheets and thicker tape. I expected a better result.”
