“Bought this to locate a stud in a lath-and-plaster wall (by finding the nails fixing the laths to the studs). Did the job perfectly. The magnet stuck to the wall where there was a nail behind the plaster. Better than an electronic stud finder as a magnet won't stick to non-magnetic plastic/copper water pipes or electric wires!”
