“I am going to use this magnet as a powerful, invisible, child-proof gate latch. As, far from installing the gate, I have not yet made it, I cannot comment on how well the magnet idea will work. The challenge will be to make it impossible for a child under 5 to pull the gate open, while still allowing adults (some over 80) to do so with reasonable effort.”
