“Having tried mug warmers (those plates you put a mug on) and been distinctly underwhelmed by those I figured I'd treat myself and get one of these Ember mugs for Christmas. Was it expensive, heck yes! At least that's what I thought until I received it: 1) It's very well made, sturdy. A little heavy almost, but I don't mind that - less likely to get knocked over. 2) The app is easy to use, and very simple to setup with the new mug - stick the mug in pairing mode and open the app, job pretty much done. So, does it keep drinks warm? Yes. Yes, it does. How warm? Very, very warm. I tend to enjoy my "hot" drinks around 54c-58c, the mug goes up to 62.5c - perfect. The battery is surprisingly good, I've had drinks on the go for a couple of hours so far and it's still had juice left at the end. Pop it back on the charging coaster when you're finished, it charges very quickly and is ready to go again in no time at all. Best of all, for me at least, is the app sending you a handy little notification when your drink reaches the desired drinking temperature - at which point the mug keeps it at that temperature for you. Wonderful! Overall I'm impressed with this mug, I was dubious having tried similar products previously and I was concerned at the pricepoint that it could end up being a waste. Now I'm back to work (WFH) I am finding it even more useful still, it's proved to be a great purchase.”
