“I was a bit sceptical about ordering another pair of these given that my first pair wore away and ripped on one ride, however that was def an issue with some rubbing against a saddle or seat bag. Glad I gave them another try. Can feel the quality in the garment. Was between a size 7 and 8 but went for this due to longer strap lengths. Tested them out on a 50 mile ride and didn’t have any issues with them. Will def order another pair in time for next year.”
“Wore these for a two and a half hour ride and was mighty impressed, comfy as FLAB one might say and what a difference between these and the Ey Up bibs. Really light material and although the padding may not look that thick, it certainly done the job. Only down point for me was when I adjusted the legs and the elastic cuff on the bottom became marked when stretched, only a little bit enough but enough to leave a white mark. Def will be adding to the Chrimbo list for another pair.”
Hi Alex, thanks for the detailed review. It's interesting that some people prefer the Jewel and others the Ey Ups - personal preference and all that of course we think they're both good but possibly the Jewel more appropriate for the more experienced rider. I've not come across the mark scenario you describe, hopefully it's small enough not to bother you? And deffo get that Christmas list sorted!
Thanks again and happy continued cycling from all the FLAB gang.
