I ordered 3 cans of this to spray my 19" bicycle frame, but I only really needed 1 can as the coverage was excellent. The low flow rate system allowed me to take my time around the joints of the frame, and the dry rate was almost instant. I didn't get any runs on the steel frame, and the colour was very vibrant. I used an undercoat, and did two coats of this on top. I stored the cans in the garage, so when i returned to the can for the second coat, i needed to warm the can up a little bit to start flow. This was mid-April, so I would have expected to do that with a spray on paint. The adhesion was excellent and even the finish was so good that I could have left it without a lacquer. I decided wet sand back using 600 grit, then 1200 grit before proceeding to a clear lacquer. Two coats of lacquer, followed by 600, 1200, 2000, 5000grit, cutting paste, polish, sealant and finally wax the finish is top notch with a deep consistent shine. As i say though, if you wanted an ok finish (i.e. if its going to get abused), then no lacquer would be required as from a distance the bike looked sharp without clear coat. As far as value for money is concerned, this far surpasses the rattle cans I have bought from Halfords in the past, and the quality far exceeds any product I have received from eBay at the same price level (and any price level to be honest). The range of available colours is excellent too. Spray painting bike frames is possibly an unintended use for the paint, but I found it more than capable of the job. The paint went on well, dried quickly and stayed on well. With a simply lacquer on top, it finish is like glass. If your going to spray a bike you will only need two cans, one and a spare for those bits you didn't notice first time around.
