Dear Mrs Lampon, The knife set you have has sharpeners within the block which sharpens the knife with each use when the knife is removed. The 'Edgekeeper' block is designed to keep the edges sharp. We would certainly have exchanged the set if it were faulty but we must have missed your communication.
