“Disappointed that the wooden grip on one side has a split for approximately one third of its length. Concerned that this may extend and that the inlay may become unattached.”

We would be happy to exchange this for you - it does sound like there is a problem with it as it's most unusual for something like that to happen, as wood is a natural product perhaps there was some weakness in that particular piece. “This was a wonderful, quality knife ordered as a gift with name engraved. Very pleased with it and would recommend. One point though, clearer instructions on which end to open the box and pull knife out would be good, as I cut my finger trying to get the knife out to view the engraving! But great service and great product.”
