“I bought this knife to clean up saw cuts on large branches when Winter pruning of fruit trees. I then paint on anti fungal stuff. I haven’t actually used the knife yet, but I know that it will work because the blade it very, and it is almost identical to bone handled one I lost that had been in the family for about 150 years. Fortunately, yours has this little loop on it, so I can put a wire hook on it and hang it on a tree branch, or put the hook on the tree. I am an engineer and know that the design is excellent. My only slight criticism is that to open it you have press against a quite strong spring to unlock it. I really cannot see why this is necessary. I have had many penknives. Always, the same spring holds the blade both open or closed. You don’t have to unlock it. But thank you. I look forward to using it.”
