“Black pudding is a bit of a hobby for me , and this took me back to my childhood flavour wise, when Irish relatives would bring it over to us from butchers in Dublin City centre. Despite not having the white chunks of fat in it the flavour was so reminiscent of it I couldn't help but be impressed.It cooked well with a nice crisp outer, and a smooth firm texture that was nicely chewy too. It was not over perfumed like too many these days and was nice and savoury with a peppery finish. No breakfast is complete without it and this is right up there with the acclaimed stuff from Stornaway 10/10 from me”

“If you’re going to eat black pudding, in which the main ingredient is the blood of an animal you really want that animal to be healthy and to have had a good life, outside. Farmison assure me that all the animals are genuinely free-range and that slaughter for animals from each farm is local and humane. This matters.”

“First time I had tried this black pudding. I used it to make a black pudding crumb for butter beans. Excellent and crumbed nicely. Super flavour.”
