I stumbled upon EPC during my first visit to London. The store manager was very kind and helpful and we spend around half an hour discussing the scents, their origin, and the inspiration behind them. I bought the discovery set which includes all 9 essentials. I absolutely loved the concept and the quality of the ingredients! My top choice is the Tonka/Sesame combo which is such a unique scent that perfectly fits with me. I just ordered a creation set and I’m looking forward to using it! I would highly recommend EPC expands their essentials: maybe include pine?

Not a perfect 5 only because fragrance is a personal taste. This company seems pretty awesome, I like that they are PETA approved and I think they are very good quality and I would love to do one of their workshops!! The shipping to me in the US was extremely fast! Now, about the fragrance. It IS scrumptious, but it’s not quite what I thought it would be. I love patchouli so I knew with that note I wouldn’t necessarily be getting a light airy gourmand, but I feel it’s maybe the hazelnut note that I’m not loving, where’s the sesame? You named it the wrong note. I really wanted that true toasty sesame and ooey gooey vanilla to be happening here. This perfume is very adult, and surprisingly complex. It is sensual, but it also kind of reminds me of doileys and floral wallpaper if you get my drift. I’m wearing it over a coconut body lotion but the dry down has become a tad spicey. I was looking for a skin scent gourmand withOUT spice. It’s hard to find. I’m wondering if I should’ve gone with Jasmine Osmanthus instead. Nevertheless it is a beautiful fragrance and I hope this helps somebody else whose trying to get a feel for how Tonka Sesame might smell to them.

When I first sprayed Tonka Sesame, it felt like I had entered a bakery in the south of France where I could smell freshly baked cookies covered with a slight hint of marzipan. It smells lovely! When I read the description, I was hoping for a stronger Tonka Bean woody smell, and it smells more like almond liquor on my skin. Later in the day, the almond scent faded, and the fragrance smelled woodier with a hint of smoky vanilla.
