“So far, for my purposes it has worked fine. It cuts through metal “like butter.” Seems to be relatively accurate on angle cutting, though I have not gotten quite to the point of measuring accurately, but I will in time. Biggest reason for only 4 stars is the blade that came with the saw. Cuts wood just fine, minimal burring, that is not the problem. In attempt to save the life of the blade, while cutting Jetta, I have been using light pressure, and trying to cut slower. In doing so the blade is getting a good chatter and wobble, causing my cuts to be “waved” in metal. Perhaps it’s a bad blade, perhaps it’s the saw itself. Leads me to my next point, which is my saw came with no stickers on the base, which I saw present in previous reviews. Also had a fine white dust on parts and a dent in part of the base. Though not affecting functionality, it makes me question whether or not I received a previously used saw, or parts thereof, that has since been refurbished and repackaged as new. Maybe it was damaged during shipping to or at the well known “big box” retailer. Don’t know, saw seems to work as it should. As long as evolution honors my warranty if I have any issues, I won’t have any complaints. To sum up: Blade chatter on metal causing some Minor Wave-like cuts in metal, not nearly as clean as advertised. Seems to do better with heavier pressure but still present. Maybe a new blade solves the issue.”
