“This is a versatile, robust,powerful, yet managable saw. I've used it to reduce the height of a beech hedge. Beech is a dense wood but the Rage8, with a green wood blade, cut through some branches up to 6" thick. Cutting these bigger branches did take longer than a chain saw but the cut was cleaner and more accurate. The other advantage of the Rage8 was the fact that it is easy to get the narrow blade in between the tangled branches, where a chain saw could never fit. With a chain saw on a hedge you have to give it an indiscriminate haircut, while with the Rage8 you can do precision surgery. I've used the saw to cut other heavier timbers, which are too much for a jig saw. It works very well when cuting up surplus pallets. The saw is, for me, an ideal weight with good balance when in use. I'm very satisfied with my Rage8 for perfomance, versatility and great value for money.”
