Its a easy mitre saw to set up and use gives clean straight cuts and mitres, I cut a number of of very old mahogany boards and the cuts were spot on no tearing or splitting whatsoever very good saw and excellent value for money.

I have read a few reviews complaining about too much plastic and the poor cutting quality of the blade as well as not being able to get a square cut etc. However, I have waited years to justify the cost of a sliding saw and having finally got one, so far, none of the above apply to my saw. It is truly a beast of a machine and with a bit of time and patience, very easy to set up. If I had known how big it was I probably would not have bought it as it is too big for my workshop, but I have made room. My only question to Evolution is: Should I remove the stickers from the base? They obviously have a bit of depth a could affect some cuts. Other than that I can highly recommend the Rage 3s. It's a brilliant piece of kit.

I have only used the machine for a few right angle cuts, it cuts fine. The model I bought did not come with a dust bag, so I ordered one, which arrived quickly, in the meantime I attached a length of vacuum cleaner pipe to the dust outlet, which controlled the dust fairly well - the dust bag when it arrived was pretty much useless. It will be a few months before I explore many of this machines capabilities. Trench cutting next..

Only purchased a week ago & used twice so too early for a comprehensive review. This saw will see some heavy use in the next few months. I used my last saw (b&q mac allister) for work, home diy & a lot of evening/weekend fencing/decking jobs. It was thrown in & out of a van & soaked in the rain for 6 years & when calibrated & blade sharpened regularly it cut spot on, but has now sadly given up the ghost...not bad for £150!! I’m hoping this saw will serve me just as well. Pretty easy assembly, if you follow the instructions you can’t go wrong. I checked all cutting angles with my trusty square & was very surprised to find everything was spot on so no adjustments required, infact the only adjustment needed was the laser cutting guide, this was done by loosening 2 screws to move it left or right of the blade & a slight twist of the bulb to square up the line to the blade. I was expecting to have to change out the crappy standard blade that usually comes with these cheaper saws but this blade looks & cuts like a quality blade but only time will tell. I will update this review later in the year.

I am extremely satisfied with my purchase, it’s sturdy, it’s vey easy to use, the grip on the handle fills good. It has a powerful motor which helps the blade cut through timber vey easy.

A very well designed British product. Build quality is also very good. Buy the stand as well, it makes a very sound and safe working platform and saves the back and knees!

Please with the product, some what disappointed that I have to purchase a dust bag for the Rage 3 separately.
