My old saw had a horizontal pull down handle as opposed to the rage 3 which has a vertical pull down other that that it's superb

Just finished laying laminate boards with loads of cuts and angles. This tool was absolutely perfect for the job 10/10

Purchased rage 3+ mitre saw. It is a great package and the optional table is fantastic. Only negative point that I would make is that there diamond blade is not designed to cut concrete, bricks and pavers unlike other evolution mitre saw diamond blades. The one for the 10 inch (255mm) machine is a rimless type for finer work. I would like a 10 inch diamond blade option for concrete etc.

I just spent a few days trying to get this to cut true. After numerous slightly gapped mitres I bought a Trend digital angle finder. It confirmed what I was suspecting. Basically, if the fence is set a perfect 90 to the blade. Then you move the blade to 45 using the mitre stops, only it actually pops in at 44.5, I have to forcefully push against the mitre stop to lock it in true. 0.5 might not sound like a lot, but if you're doing a small box or frame, you end up 2 degree off at the 4th joint. I have used DeWalt and Makita in the past with no issues. But this is kind of what I expected at this price range. The included clamp is poorly designed, if you want do do a bevel cut, you need to remove the clamp as it blocks the motor from lowering. I bought this saw for the features and the price. The soft start and electric brakes are great, the laser is decent, the blade is okay but will definitely need changed to a higher toothed blade for woods you really don't want tearing out. I bought this saw knowing that at the price of £150 it may not be perfect. And I got what I paid for. But to be honest, I can live with it. At £150 it's hard to complain too much. The main thing I would say about this saw is it's good value for money.

Generally pleased with the operation. I had to buy a dust bag as an option but it isn't particularly efficient. Vacuum cleaner suction is better.

In the instruction book, it may be worth advising a check to verify that the rear rail is at 90° to the blade before first use. Mine certainly wasn't and required adjusting. I only realised after cutting a few lengths of finished timber and then found they weren't square when I came to join them. I couldn't salvage what I had cut so I had to buy another length of timber. I have now got the machine set up correctly and it is a great piece of kit!
