“My Rage 3 took a little while to set up, not helped by the fact the washer needed to secure the blade had dropped through the blade slot and initially I thought it was missing. My first job was the mitres on some fiddly skirting and I was amazed at how quick and easy it made the job. Smooth, precise and not too noisy it seems well made and powerful. With the help of the laser I was able to remove tiny slivers of timber accurately. I have yet to work out why the blade guard hits the top of the pillar at maximum tilt but this can be avoided by lowering the blade or moving the pillar to the other side on longer pieces of timber.”

“Seems well made, easy to assemble, and needed very little adjustment. However, the first time I used it on steel the blade kicked back and a small piece of steel is now jammed in one of the teeth. Not very happy with that as it affects the smoothness of cuts on wood.”

“you don't really know which Rage mitre you are buying from screwfix as the part number don't match the evolution website but that aside, the saw is easily assembled, cuts cleanly and accurately. The stand helps a lot.”
