“Was nearly put off by bad reviews,but bought it because my old chop saw was rumbling a bit and a new blade was £40. Another £60 got me this new saw which has cut aluminium extrusions accurately straight from the box. Saw should cost another £10 to include the accessory pack. Good results from a budget product which will suit most DIYers and light commercial use.”

“I bought my Rage3-S hoping that it would be accurate enough for the less demanding end of woodworking: garden furniture, household carpentry and that sort of thing. While it's too early to comment on the saw's expected life span or Evolution's after sales service, I am pleasantly surprised by the product's performance. It wasn't bad straight from the box, and would have been OK for most of my needs. But as pointed out in other reviews it's well worth spending a couple of hours getting the angle stops and the fence spot-on. That done, the saw is capable of excellent work. It is adequately powerful as well. Had I wanted to saw to use day in and day out, I would have looked elsewhere - and probably spent more than five times as much. But at a mere £99.99, the Rage3-S is a bargain for anyone doing a bit of DIY and the like. I suspect it will survive light trade use as well. A minor criticism: The standard blade is all right but like all multi-purpose designs it lacks the precision on a dedicated woodwork blade. I have fitted a 48 tooth crosscut blade instead which gives a cleaner finish and a tad more accuracy.”

“Very good machine. Easy to set up. Reliable and accurate. The one fault I have with this is that the brushes fail frequently however, this is easily remedied quickly by Evolution with free collection, quick turn-around and delivered back usually within 3-4 days.”

“A great value saw, does just what it says. Great pity it does not come with a dust collection facility and I would love to find a fine toothed blade (for delicate cutting) to fit.”
